Just a little piece of interesting information. The Dream Stream section is to be renamed after popular Denver Post Outdoor Writer Charlie Meyers. The CDOW voted for it last night. Good news for Charlies Family.

Tying Demo

Hey Now Folks,

I have a fly tying demo up at Anglers Roost this weekend in Fort Collins. Saturday Feb 6. 10 am till Noon. Ill be twisting up some torpedo's, cdc hackle stacker paraloops, some Slovakian Buzzers and hopefully a few other things if timing permits.

Charlies Fly Box Demo

Just wanted to say thank you to all the folks that came out to see me tie at Charlies this weekend and for the folks that stayed for Kevin Compton's Demo. My demo started off good until the spilled coffee incident. So next year, Greg is going to have a big for me with a big ole lobster on it. LOL!!!

I have to say it was packed in there and with all the folks and side chatter and the shop buzzing with folks buy stuff I could hear myself at time as well. I had a good time. Thanks to Charlie, Greg and Ross for having me down again this year and allowing Kevin to follow me up. Hope everyone learned a new trick or two. I have the pleasure over the last two weekends to tie with, next to and watch Kevin twist up some bugs. A true master at the art of flytying. Next Demo will be up at Anglers Roost in Fort Collins Feb. 6th. Hope to see a few folks there. Ill be doing more CDC Hackle Stacklers/paraloop flies, some midges (Eastern European Buzzers), a competition nymph that Kevin showed me, a really neat little bug.

Fly Fishing Show

The Denver Fly Fishing Show wrapped up late yesterday afternoon. I shared a table with Kevin Compton and we were busy cranking out flies all weekend and there was a steady crowd to keep us busy. It was great to meet so many folks, chat with the other tiers there, and running into a few old friends, that I have not seen in a while. Sold some flies, gave some flies away and traded a few flies. I was glad to be part of this show and have the opportunity to twist up some bugs, good times.

A few notes of interest.. Kevin Compton will be doing a special tying demo at Hook Fly Fishing down in Highlands Ranch on Thursday Evening.

Saturday both I and Kevin will be doing a tag team event at Charlies Fly Box. I will be from 11-1 and Kevin will be 1-3. So come down and check this out if you can.

I also have Anglers Roost Demo coming up in early Feb, Hook Fly Fishing late Feb, and will be tying at Anglers All here in the near future, stay tuned for a date and time on this event.

Fly Fishing Show

This weekend is the Denver Fly Fishing Show. Ill be there tying on Saturday and Sunday. Ill be next to Kevin Compton and Eric Stroup. Come on down and say hi.

Charlies Fly Box Demo and Denver Fly Fishing Show Two must see events.

What a better way to start off the 2010 tying demos, come on down and see the fly tying demo I will be doing at Charlies. I will be tying from 11-1 and from 1-3 my good friend Kevin Compton will take over the tying chair and show you some interesting patterns from his fly box. Kevin is a world renowned tier and owner of Performance Flies. Kevin ties for the youth fly fishing team at the world championship series and also does a lot of demos all over the US. This is a don't miss event. Kevin will have materials and Dohiku hooks for sale as well. He will also be tying at the Denver Fly Fishing show with materials for sale. So come on down to both the Denver flyfishing show January 8-10 and Charlies Fly Box on January 16th for a speical tying event. Hope to see you there.
